Welcome to the St Katharine’s website. We trust that you will gain some insights into the activities and atmosphere of this distinctive school. The essence of St Katharine’s is difficult to distil. It is most likely a combination of size, the relationships between the girls and staff, the ethos, small campus, expectations, curriculum and legacy.
School story
An indomitable and determined young woman began St Katharine’s over 100 years ago.
Ethel Fielding envisaged an unregimented school, in which the children were given the freedom to explore, investigate and imagine. She dreamed of an environment rich in learning experiences and filled with curiosity and joy.
